THE RETARDING INFLUENCE OF CAMEROON’S POLITICAL LUNATICS IN THE STRUGGLE TO GET RID OF THE SIX-DECADE OLD FRENCH-IMPOSED SYSTEM.

Every area (village, town, district, department, region or province, etc) in our country has its fair share of political lunatics; and they are a minority of the population. When most of the political lunatics support the evil system in power, it makes the job easy for exponents of change, whether at the national level or at the regional or municipal levels.

However, in those areas where this minority of political lunatics claim to be on the side of the exponents of change and not with the government, they actually become retarding elements in the cause for the “NEW CAMEROON” either because of their one-sidedness, unreliability or because of their confusion. This minority are the pseudo-opposition parties. Faced with the case of the pseudo-opposition, exponents of change should know that they have a deep problem in their hands.  Unfortunately, these pseudo-opposition parties who claim to be on the side of change distract the true exponents of change (union-nationalists and revolutionaries) from focusing on the evil-French-imposed system. They, especially, mortify and demoralize the ranks of the struggling Cameroonian masses whose acceptance of the whimsical ways of the pseudo-opposition parties gets translated into political lethargy, a psycho-social state that the best of the true advocates of change would have a hard time whisking them out of.

Ultimately, these political lunatics who all along have been serving the interest of the system, end up associating themselves with the system either through actions or political alliances that resuscitate the dying system or by openly embracing the ruling party of the system that they had been supporting all along, thereby becoming “PARTIES OF THE SYSTEM” in the process.

It has been observed with clarity that the major political parties in Cameroon that were identified as opposition political parties in 1990 and 1991 have today been transformed into Parties of the System by their leaders who were all members of the system’s ruling party in the period before 1990, the CNU/CPDM which was the sole party in the country at the time. In taking the people---those who reject the system and advocate for a New Cameroon---for a ride in this huge deception, Cameroon’s political lunatics make themselves enemies of the people and members of the conspiracy that is keeping Cameroon in political, economic, and social bondage.
