Where the Money is Around the World (Maps)






























Derived from World Bank Development Indicators data, Global Finance’s map shows us what the world would look like if it were sized according to economic wealth. Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea blow up like balloons, while Africa shrinks to a size narrow enough to drill a canal through. Another way of looking at it: The tiny parts are where the most opportunity for growth exists.
