The Average GDP and Per Capita Income Growth Rates of Countries of the World

World Map

The two maps and the table below them are for the years 1990-2007, and are based on the data obtained from the United Nations
Statistics Division. 1990 was chosen as a starting year as several new states appeared at that time.

GDP growth (annualized)

GDP per capita growth (annualized)

Cameroon and Zimbabwe are the only two countries with the worst performing economies and GDP Per Capita growth  during that period of time, yet are still being ruled by the same heads of state.

  • Paul Biya of Cameroon has been in power for 33 years ( November 1982-2023---Now 40 years).
  • Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has been in power for 35 years. (18 April 1980---21 November 2017)
  • Paul Biya of Cameroon is a French-installed puppet sustained and maintained in power by foreign corporations and governments(Western, Chinese etc) that he sells off the country's resources to for a pittance.
  • Robert Mugabe is an anti-Western despot  sustained by China and other rich and powerful authoritarian states.
