Dear Sav,
Revolutions are led by revolutionaries, the tested vanguards of clearly defined causes, of effective organizations where there is exemplary discipline, of a unifying idea, of clearly defined objectives. Classic revolutionaries are people who, with the support of the masses, give birth to a new era from what could end up being infinite chaos or mass tragedy. An effective revolution is a science with a predetermined end based on the reality or realities of the day (internal and external reality, that is).
Genuine revolutionaries consider it a no brainer that they should lead the revolution on the battlefield. Death on the battlefield for a noble cause is the ultimate honor. The prerequisites are exhaustive. So, those who consider themselves revolutionaries or vanguards of a revolution should expect to be home with the people they want to liberate when the liberation is launched.
All the best,
