The GROWING POLITICAL CANCERS IN CAMEROON

Most right-thinking Cameroonians know that the comprador Biya regime dominated by ethno-fascists who are using the playbook of the evil six-decade French-imposed system, which is directly responsible for the deaths of close to a million Cameroonians is a cancer haunting Cameroon and Cameroonians.

Pundits among these right-thinking Cameroonians know that the Ambazonian Group  that hijacked — from the civic-nationalists (union-nationalists) and federalists in Anglophone Cameroon — the cause to right the wrongs against, or redress the grievances of the people of the former British Southern Cameroonians (former West Cameroon), began their armed confrontation with the evil system in a thuggish manner.

By Ambazonian Group, I mean those who want to undo the 1961 reunification of the former British Southern Cameroons and the former French Cameroun (the 1960-1961 La Republique du Cameroun) following the February 11, 1961, plebiscite where 70% of voters in British Southern Cameroons opted for the reunification path; by the Ambazonia Group, I mean the secessionists or separatists who are mostly those and the heirs of those who were against reunification in the 1961 plebiscite that brought about the geopolitical remerging of most of the lands of the former German Kamerun.

The critical analysts among these pundits that have been outspoken about the regime’s bloody methods, and that are concerned about the rapid metamorphosis of the hooliganism of Ambazonian forces into something deadlier and more anti-people — TERRORISM   were afraid  that the growing blood-thirstiness  and sense of impunity among some  in the Ambazonian forces; the Ambazonian  leadership’s lack of maturity in denouncing its claimed ROGUE ELEMENTS, in disciplining them and in being apologetic to the civilian  population affected by their deadly actions, could make the Ambazonian project another cancer in the noble and deeply traumatized Cameroonian soul.

It is about time:

·         the AMBAZONIAN LEADERSHIP comes out, condemns and put a stop to its  supposedly “ROGUE ELEMENTS” that commit/committed atrocities against civilians

·         the AMBAZONIAN LEADERSHIP states CATEGORICALLY, UNEQUIVOCALLY and EMPHATICALLY that its forces would never target “CIVILIANS” again, especially CHILDREN and SCHOOL STAFF, and most especially SCHOOL CHILDREN.

As a matter of fact, a growing number of critical analysts are beginning to consider  or are already considering Ambazonian forces as another CANCER haunting Cameroon and Cameroonians, and a curse blighting our society west of the River Mungo in what are the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon.

My principal concern is for the overwhelming majority of Cameroonians on both sides of the River Mungo, the people of the reunited former German Kamerun that is today Cameroon, who are being haunted by the national cancer that is the Biya regime and the French-imposed system that has held Cameroon and Cameroonians hostage for the past six decades; my main concern is more especially for the people of the Northwest and Southwest regions that are doubly afflicted by the Biya regime/system, and the  malignancy of Ambazonian forces who in their ANTI-PEOPLE actions are exhibiting abnormalities that are characteristic of cancer on society.

And what has also been observed is that while the Biya regime appears to be making an effort to coat if not mitigate its state terrorism, especially in its utterances, the different Ambazonian Forces have increased their brazenness, to the point where one faction that accuses the other of carrying out the October 20, 2020, Kumba School  Attack that left more than half a dozen schoolchildren dead, has the chutzpah to threaten  the lives of Anglophone Pan-Cameroonian politicians who besides condemning the attack, chided the collective Ambazonian organization for the errors of their ways. Such threats tell us that the impulse to commit acts of terrorism spreads across the different Ambazonia factions, and that there are some in the Ambazonia leadership who do not find the prospect of a conflict between “Ambazonians” and the of rest Anglophone Cameroonians or the population in the Northwest and Southwest regions as something scary if not horrifying.

The focus of Cameroonians, especially its genuine patriots, is to set off a process that would found “THE NEW CAMEROON” by dismantling the anachronistic French-imposed system, redressing the grievances of Cameroon’s different stakeholders and putting in place an efficient framework within which the interests, security, development, prosperity, and dignity of Cameroonians would be guaranteed and safeguarded.

By genuine patriots, I mean those and the heirs of those who participated in the struggle  or campaign for the reunification and independence of the territories of the former German Kamerun, those who cherish the ideals of Cameroon's true heroes; I mean those who abhor the fact that the country is being held hostage by those and the heirs of those who did not participate or support the cause for the country’s reunification and independence (the minority-rule Ahidjo/Biya regimes that was/were given power by usurper France, and the anti- reunificationists who voted to join Nigeria in the 1961 plebiscite in British Southern Cameroons).

I am using the words genuine patriots because the  beneficiaries of the Biya regime and the anti-Cameroonian French-imposed system who are parasitic on Cameroon, the compradors who are in power against the wishes of the overwhelming majority of Cameroonians, and who were put and are being maintained in power by  the imperialistic French political establishment  (responsible for crushing Cameroonian patriots that it cornered into picking up arms to defend the cause for Cameroon’s reunification and independence in the 1950s and 1960s) are now usurping the adjective “CAMEROONIAN PATRIOTS”.  They have wrapped themselves with the Cameroonian flag and are presenting themselves as the force trying to keep Cameroon together, when in reality they baited  and cornered “AMBAZONIANS” (the Anglophone Cameroonians who voted or are the heirs of those who voted for reunification with Nigeria and against reunification with the former French Cameroun in the 1961 plebiscite in British Southern Cameroons) into picking up arms after failing to  redress the grievances of the English-speaking part of Cameroon.

We find today that Cameroon is a country possessed by these so-called patriots of the system, PSEUDO-PATRIOTS or ZOMBIE-PATRIOTS whose ethno-fascism is coated in a twisted form of HATE-DRIVEN-NATIONALISM that sustains its strength by tapping the collaboration of individuals in other groups in Cameroon based on individual interests, and not on the COLLECTIVE CAMEROONIAN INTERESTS, the national interest that every country with a sense of direction cannot do without.  The Pseudo-Patriots are parasitic on Cameroon and are prepared to pay any price to cling to power to the point of making Cameroon a failed state.

There is no humanly acceptable rationale for  the continued existence of the Biya regime, the “Ambazonia Project”, the support of the  foreign powers that backed the anachronistic system for the sake of “FIGHTING COMMUNISM” during the COLD WAR. These great democracies must not continue to be part of Cameroon’s problems, but should rather transform themselves into part of Cameroon’s solution by not only acknowledging the fact that their favorites in Cameroon are leading Cameroonians down the road of dehumanization, but by also heeding the fact that their puppets in power in Cameroon are leading the Cameroonian people and Cameroon into the abyss.

Even as Cameroonians call on the foreign powers to place their loyalty to the Cameroonian people, the vast majority of whom reject the  Biya regime and the system put in place  by France in 1956, they are also  repulsed  by the atrocities  and barbarity of the armed groups in Cameroon, and  are dismayed by Cameroon’s “Establishment Politicians” and “so-called Opposition” who after having convinced themselves  that they don't have what it takes to confront the entrenched interests that do not want the “NEW CAMEROON”  to be born, now make politicking a business, thereby contributing to the moribund system in the country that many fondly call "Africa in Miniature" and/or the "Microcosm of Africa".

It is true that Cameroon is a messed-up country, messed up by internal factors, but more especially by the legacy of colonialism, partition, the cold-war, fascism, imperialism, neocolonialism, geopolitics and perhaps even more. That is why the “GREAT DEMOCRACIES “ of the West who cannot absolve themselves of  their fair share of blame in the Cameroon quagmire, have the moral responsibility  to work with the progressive forces of the land to set up a time table that would  “DISMANTLE THE ANACHRONISTIC ETHNO-FASCIST SYSTEM” before the end of 2021 and establish “THE NEW CAMEROON” that would be the perfect reflection of the 28 Fundamental Principles of the United States of America’s Founding Fathers, especially the principle which states that “All mankind were created equal.”, by which those great minds meant that all mankind are theoretically treated as:

·         Equal before God.

·         Equal before the law.

·         Equal in their rights.

Cameroon and Cameroonians do not deserve their current plight. The land that embodied the best of the African spirit in the first half of the twentieth century, that has exhibited African serenity for a century now,  must not continue to suffer the double whammy of imperialism — the loss of more than half a million lives  in the cause for reunification and independence of the territories from the partitioned German Kamerun  at the hands of France  in collaboration with the puppets it handed power over to in 1960, and today the loss of thousands of Cameroonian lives from an avoidable conflict triggered by the system France has been maintaining in the country since then, and by the heirs of the minority in Anglophone Cameroon that were and are against the reunification of the territories of the former German Kamerun.

I hope Cameroon and  Cameroonians are not being punished for reuniting by foreign interests using  those Cameroonians who did not and never really cherished its reunification --- the Ambazonian forces and the system that has been running the country  for over six decades (France and its puppets)?

CAMEROON: A Hijacked Nation, its Current Armed-Conflicts and Massacres:---The Killing of School Children in Kumba

It is a sacrilege for those involved in an armed struggle or anyone for that matter to massacre children, more so school children exercising one of their fundamental human rights (the right to an education). The perpetrators of the Kumba Massacre on October 24, 2020 (seven deaths and a dozen wounded), qualify as terrorists. The army or armed group(s) they are from should denounce them, bring them to justice, and pledge to the Cameroonian people never, "Never" to allow their combatants to step close to a school or engage in armed activities at or anywhere near schools.

Armed organizations that support and fail to denounce attacks on school children,  and that do not declare their adherence to the universal conduct of war that makes schools and those involved in schooling (students and staff) no go areas, make themselves "ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE AND TRAITORS TO HUMANITY".

In addition, those supporting, condoning, justifying, or excusing acts of terrorism on the people, and more so on children who have no say in the conflict brought about by adults misusing their future, should correct their ways and desist from their acts of devilry.

I call on the government of Cameroon, the Biya regime, and their foreign masters to accede to a process that would bring the seven-decade Cameroonian quagmire to an end through an all-inclusive and comprehensive Peace Talks that besides including peace and reconciliation would also result in the founding of the "NEW CAMEROON" that the overwhelming majority of Cameroonians want, a dream upheld since the times of our ancestors and that acted as the fuel in Cameroon's successful campaign for reunification and its so-called independence.

Cameroon and Cameroonians cannot afford to delay putting an end to the recurring massacres and the threat of genocide that evil forces in our sacred land are determined to subject the overwhelming majority of Cameroonians who are genuine Cameroonian patriots, to.

Si (God) Bless the People of Cameroon

A Path to the Resolution of Conflicts---the case of Nagorno-Karabakh between Armenia and Azerbaijan included (An excerpt of "The Union Moujik")

The Union Moujik

...“Dear comrades, dear comrades…dear comrades,” a voice shouted, imposing an eerie silence on the tavern.

All eyes turned to the caller to find Yuri Kudrin, the manager of the joint, standing erect on the counter with a dreadful look on his face.

“Give us a reason for distracting us from our informative discourse before I put my hand in your mouth,” Mikhail Pugo shouted at his friend, shaking his fist in a threatening, though comical manner.

“The news, the news, the news! Let’s listen to the news,” Yuri Kudrin stuttered, “Terrorists from Chechnya have struck Russia again.”

Nobody heeded his words after that, as the men and women rushed towards the television screen perched on a stand at the far end of the tavern, close to the lavatory. A nineteen-year-old student was the first to get there, and he turned up the volume before anyone even asked him to.

It was one thing to talk idly about the problems of the former Soviet Union and another thing altogether to see the ravaged lives of the people they held closely in their hearts passing in front of their eyes on the screen. Sounds of weeping could be heard from about half a dozen women there who could not mute their emotions. Even an anguished howl escaped the throat of a six-foot-two-inches-tall lumberjack called Dyadya Ivan. But for the clear majority of the Union-Muzhiks there, the images and reporting sent them into a state of stunned silence and despondent brooding. Curses could be heard every now and then, brief exchanges permeated the air, but it was the timid sobbing from some of the women that left the atmosphere subdued for a while. People started leaving for their homes shortly afterwards, with many of them failing even to say goodnight or goodbye to their friends.

Boris could not tell how long he was in front of the television following the developments on the screen, before he sighed, walked away and settled again in his seat by the terrace. He was joined moments after by a good number of those who partook in the discourse moments ago.

“Terror, terror, terror,” he grappled aloud with his thoughts, “It is very powerful.”

“What are you talking about, Comrade Boris?” asked Ramil Bagirov, a smooth-talking ethnic Azeri known for his talent as a sculptor.

Boris turned around and regarded the crestfallen Ramil Bagirov. “Comrade Ramil, what do those images of the mutilated bodies of women, children and the elderly tell us?”

“They tell us a lot about the pains that man is capable of inflicting on his fellow man,” Ramil Bagirov said.

“They tell us a lot more than that, my dear comrade! Terror is a powerful political weapon, a painful social infection and the most potent dehumanizer man ever came up with. I grieve for the Chechen people whose ranks the terrorists come from as much as I grieve for the victims of their act of terrorism. Every Chechen act of terrorism dehumanizes the Chechens themselves, far more than the people those Chechen terrorists are out to hurt, people who might even be tempted to seek revenge,” Boris said with a sigh.

“Now, I understand why the Chechens were stereotyped as the most wicked nationality back in the day of the Soviet Union. None of the other nationalities are capable of perpetuating such carnage,” Yeremenko said, visibly shaken by the footages, “I never expected to see such images coming from any other country besides Israel.”

“It is a Muslim thing,” said Ivan Stoikhov, an ethnic Bulgarian born in the breakaway Moldovan region of Transnistria.

“I disagree with you on that. Muzhiks of the Iranic linguistic group abhor the use of terror, even though they too are Muslims. I’m a Kurd, and believe me, I talked about the nature of terrorism the other day with my Ossetian friend of the Digor group. We think terrorism is a plague that the Arabic-speaking and Turkic-speaking peoples are spreading all over the world under the cloak of Islam. Take for example the genocide Saddam Hussein perpetuated against the Kurds in Iraq. Think about the state terrorism that Turkey has unleashed against its Kurdish population,” Islam Kordestanov, an Armenian Kurd said with a note of exasperation in his voice.

“I know little about the Arabs, but I can write a thesis about Turks. When I say Turks, I mean any of the Turkic-speaking peoples—be they Uzbeks, Osmanli Turks, Azeri Turks, or any of the other Turkic peoples of the world. I know them from the damage they wrought on the Armenian people, especially at the turn of this century,” Ashile Mikoyan said and shook his head in a funny manner as if he were harboring a thought that he did not want to share with the other Union-Muzhiks.

“Comrade Ashile, permit me to counter your assertion. “History has proven that terrorism isn’t a product of the Caucasus. The nationalities of the Caucasus have a long history of living together based on tolerance and solidarity. There was nothing genocidal in the conduct of the war between our peoples over Nagorno-Karabakh. The conflict wasn’t tainted by terror. In fact, we didn’t target each other’s women and children,” Ramil Bagirov objected, shaking his head forcefully.

“I think there is a misunderstanding here between our Armenian and Azeri comrades,” Yeremenko said in an effort to diffuse the rising acrimony in the exchange between Ashile and Ramil, “Actually, some Arabic-speaking Palestinians I talked to in Israel and the Occupied Territories think the first real terrorist was a Jew. They contend that Samson in the bible committed an act of terror when he pulled down the Temple of Dagon and killed himself and the Philistines inside. They contend that women and children too were there—right inside the temple.”

“How was he supposed to know, even if that were the case? He was blind at the time. Didn’t his enemies pull his eyes out after they captured him?” Ashille said, sounding incredulous.

“Ha-ha...ha-ha,” Boris laughed, “But he wasn’t deaf!”

“I disagree with you, my dear comrades. I disagree with what you are saying,” Ramil interposed and sighed, “No mention was ever made of women and children in Samson’s story. But one thing I know for sure is that the true origin of terrorism was in the times of the Assassins, a period that spanned four centuries in the Middle East. I won’t even consider the Zealots as terrorists because they did not target the women and children of their enemies.”

“Why are you stressing on the Turkic and Arabic speaking peoples of the world only? Aren’t the Tamil Tigers engaged in terrorism in their war against the Sri Lankan government? Aren’t the Irish Republican Army, Euskadi Ta Askatasuna otherwise known as ETA, and the Colombian FARC, involved in terror too?” Boris asked.

“I understand the point you are trying to make, Comrade Boris. The European movements targeted the establishments in their acts of terrorism. They do not make women and children their targets. That is where my concerns lie,” Ivan Stoikhov said emphatically.

“I respect Comrade Ramil’s mind. I respect his views,” Ashille Mikoyan muttered, and then nodded as if grappling with the right words to say. “I respect yours too, even though I cannot help but accept the fact that you are a thinking mind that sometimes allows his emotions to get the better hold of him. I admit there is a gross misunderstanding between the Armenian and Azeri peoples, my dear comrades. I think the misunderstanding stems from deep-rooted suspicions that resurfaced due to the internal weaknesses of the central government that became exposed during the last years of the Soviet Union. Even Azeris of the former Soviet Union face the possibility of extinction in the hands of Armenians in the republics,” Ramil Bagirov articulated.

A worried expression crossed Ashile Mikoyan’s face and stayed there for a while as he scratched his head and bit his lips. “Comrade Bagirov is right. I agree with you on that point. Nobody can deny the mutual misunderstanding that exists between the Armenian and the Azeri peoples. Even so, we can always find solutions to our problems?”

“Of course, solutions can be found to every problem. All we need is the will,” Boris offered.

“I agree with you, Comrade Boris. As a deputy minister in the last Soviet government, I submitted a draft proposal on resolving the problem over Nagorno-Karabakh. My suggestions on ways of reaching a negotiated settlement demanded that Armenia gives The Republic of Azerbaijan a strip of land connecting it to the Azeri enclave of Nakhichevan, in return for a corresponding strip of land from Azerbaijan attaching Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia proper...
