The French-Imposed System in Cameroon Needs to be Dismantled for the "New Cameroon" to be Born

Many of us Cameroonians, are yet to get the big picture. The system needs to be dismantled like the Apartheid system was dismantled in South Africa etc. Then and only then can the "New Cameroon" be born. Kamerunist started saying that in 1956. That battle cry was picked up again in 1990, and the "liberals and moderates" in particular thought the issue was only Biya (the regime managing the system) and today, those with a goal to remove Biya without the ideological content, who failed to think things through are in disarray. Today, I see people who were with the system yesterday, but who apparently are against it today, now talking about the "New Cameroon"too (Kamto, Fru Ndi, and others of the MRC and SDF), but cannot bring themselves to confront the Cameroon malady at its roots---dismantling the system. Good they have taken some steps forward in the right direction, in their requisite psychosocial advancements. But that is not enough. There is still a long way to go. Talking about change, meaning it and working for it, is the real thing. The problem with Cameroon is that it has a rotten foundation that needs to be relaid----dismantling the system. Nothing new can be built on the foundations of this moribund system that would stand the test of time. You get to a new dimension when you start thinking along those lines.
