The Nurse replies, "Sir, there is no such doctor as an Eye-Ear Doctor. You can see an Eye Doctor, an Ear Doctor or a Throat Doctor."
"No, no no...no. You must help me see an Eye-Ear Doctor," the man insisted.
"I told you an Eye-Ear Doctor does not exist. I can help you see an Eye or an Ear Doctor, or both."
"No, it must be an Eye-Ear Doctor," the strung-up man persisted.
The purported patient and nurse went back and forth until the nurse finally dimmed her eyes, and then asked Ivan. "Why do you want to see an Eye-Ear Doctor?"
Ivan replies. "Because I hear one thing and see something else that is completely different from what I was told. Now, I am concerned there might be a disconnect between my eyes and my ears. That is why I need an Eye-Ear Doctor to fix that disconnect between the two organs."
Drawing from that to address the reality of our world today, what do we see? The media of the East, West, Africa, China, Asia and many of the countries with vested or purported foreign interests tell us common folks one thing, while the reality is something else altogether.
Western/Chinese/Russian etc. media support dictators like Paul Biya of Cameroon, Mugabe/Bashir of Zimbabwe/Sudan, Assad of Syria respectively etc. Russia's Putin is vilified by the Western media, yet has more than 80% approval rating in Russia and is highly respected by the common folks and even intelligentsia of the world. Barack Obama is loved by the African masses who pin their hopes of seeing the end of dictatorships in Africa on him, yet the Western/Chinese media and their corporate buddies applaud some of these dictators as good for business.
At the end of the day, most of the common folks of this world would end up seeking treatment from Eye-Ear doctors in a world where white ceases to mean white and black means green.
