People as individuals, especially in leadership positions, engage in struggles or causes motivated by Reward, Coercion, Ego, and Ideology. Struggles or causes that succeed are dominated by those motivated by an all-encompassing ideology that embraces allies and potential allies; by individuals who put the general purpose of the struggle above their personal wellbeing, and who are acting as a collective imbued with a loafty ideal that does not tolerate discrimination based on ethnicity, race, religion, and language.
