CAMEROON, CAMEROONIANS, DECEPTION AND SELF-DECEPTION

"A man is allowed to be foolish only once in his life." Yes, we Cameroonians have allowed ourselves to be fooled. Our history is full of lies and half truths. And today, we have difficulties making a difference between myth and reality. We are a nation of vast potentials, yet it is as if we are hitting our heads on a brick wall even though we have a way out and a way forward.

That way out and way forward still starts with us abandoning a lot of political myths in our lives. We give excuses for politicians whose souls we have never penetrated, whose thoughts we have never shared and whose intentions we don't know. We tend to believe not what we see and judge but what we hope for. When we rely on hope against reality, Fru Ndi becomes a Mandela, Ndam Njoya becomes an Einstein, Bello Bouba becomes another Tony Blair, Biya tends to look like Churchill or DeGaulle, Anglophones become the chosen people, Francophones become the anti-change, Betis become the cursed race, Fulanis become the scepter force, Bamilekes become the national enemy within and Baforchu becomes the divine village. And all because of what we have been told by the enemies of the "NEW CAMEROON".
Sad, very sad!
