I think it is difficult for us to reconcile our ranks (Anglophone Cameroonian), find a common ground, and move forward collectively unless we accept the errors of our ways that fostered disunity, distrust, and incomprehension. It is a decade now since our territory and the rest of Cameroon became trapped in a conflict with no revolutionary momentum, a conflict that began at a time when the Biya regime and the French-imposed system had been cornered and never imagined themselves surviving beyond 2018, a conflict that became a safety valve for Biya, his retinue and backers; yet the Amba leaders still do not want to be accountable, still do not want to rethink things, to render a mea culpa, revise their methods, make themselves a part of the bigger, progressive, and genuine fold for change. History tends to be unkind when we fail to follow its patterns and force it to judge or condemn us after it fails to make us reason.
